Nambu Tigma Sleeping Mat or Aisle Rug in the monastery. The yellow piece is all natural dye and tigma is made by hand. The red piece is likely 50 yrs. old chemical dyed, tigma may be by hand. You can see a hint of the yak wool backing. These are less than an inch thick but remarkably comfortable. I tried to buy the two for $xxx but the monastery in the end didn't sell them. The problem with offering money is that the seller often thinks then thing is worth a lot more. It was a better than fair price. I even was staying at the parents hotel of a lama from the monastery. I think if I had a Tibetan ask, I may have these two sleeping mats.
