Tie-dyed Tibetan Lingtse Cape, This style of cape is found in Zanskar. The tie and dye is by hand, the wool is woven at home on a small loom so 3 pieces will be sewn together. The cape signifies the womans family's prominence in the community. These dyed circles on the cape play a large part in the honor system. 2 rows are the norm at the bottom but in a few instances I have found an extra 2 or 3 dyed circles above this. She has a higher position.
