This 19th C. Tibetan Blanket Antique Textile Art that uses a flat weaving process better known through Central Asian Tribal textiles. This Blanket style can be course or smooth depending on the purpose. A courser weave is often looser and used for feed bags, etc or animal blankets. The smoother style, the wool is hand spun tighter, thus when making the blanket the weave is tight. Smoother will mean Tibetan sheep wool. Always alittle heavy cosidering the nature of Tibet.

A natural purple color in the blanket. This is vegetable dyed.
