Hand mold 19th C. Antique Tibetan Bronze Ink wells. Two nice ink wells made of bronze, thought to be quite old. Bronze wasn’t common. Today people (who sell Tibetan) ?seem to get confused between bronze and brass. Bronze generally came from China early on. These are bronze, make sure to check the encyclopedia.. Bronze Age.? Little can be said about there age though the ones I have, have a wonderful patina and are hand pounded and smoothed. One of the Tibetan experts in Katmandu said they all range from 17th C to 19th.
