19th or early 20th C. Tibetan Whip and sling. All hand woven, used to scare wild animals away from the sheep and used too keep the herd on the move. These are wonderful examples of Tibetan weaving of yak wool. The center is has a similar feel to a rug. From discussions and from what I have seen, these are not used any longer.
